AMC Makes Audacity Available On TikTok

AMC debuted its new drama, The Audacity, not just on its namesake channel and streamer, but also on TikTok, Spectrum, Captivate, and Samsung TV Plus.
The Big Picture: AMC is leaving no stone unturned to get as many eyeballs as possible on its latest show. The network hasn’t had a hit in quite some time, so it’s hoping that experimenting with novel ways of releasing the pilot could turn the tide.
Behind The Scenes: This past Sunday, audiences could watch The Audacity on TV, their phones, or even in an elevator.
Spectrum subscribers can access AMC+ free of charge to watch the show.
Samsung TV Plus users were able to watch the premiere on the flagship Samsung TV Network channel.
TikTok users can watch the show in 21 three-minute segments.
Through ad-tech firm Captivate, AMC can show clips on digital screens in office elevators.
Final Cut: Premiering the show on nearly every screen available highlights just how much the TV landscape has changed over the past decade. Audiences are no longer sitting on their couches waiting for appointment viewing; they expect content to be available on demand, wherever they are. Or as AMC CMO Kim Granito puts it: “We are hyper aware that getting viewers to show up isn’t just a command anymore. It’s a conversation.”
Coming Soon: Netflix premieres at the mall? Hulu debuts on TurboTax? Expect show screenings to pop up wherever people are engaged. TV is everything now.
