Happy Thursday, Future Party. Let’s be real, you probably don’t eat at Wendy’s… but the fast-food chain may have just given us a reason to. It released an emo album called Songs to Listen to in the Wendy’s Parking Lot. Tracks include “She Said She Didn’t Want Fries” and “My Frosty’s Funeral.” You can already listen to it here. Honestly, a Frosty and fries do sound pretty good right now…

Americans Just Want To Enjoy Life
The new American Dream is simply to “enjoy life.”
The Big Picture: Sky-high housing costs, an unpredictable economy, and a topsy-turvy job market have made the traditional American Dream feel out of reach for many. By putting a premium on experiences, people may be signaling that the idea of the American Dream could use a cultural rebrand — American Memories, perhaps?
Between The Lines: The American Dream is getting simpler.
A SoFi Technologies survey found that 6 in 10 Americans consider being able to enjoy life the clearest sign of financial progress.
That’s a lot more than the 27% who said owning a home was indicative of financial progress — a milestone that now seems far out of reach for most.
In fact, 72% say they’re “willing to make slower progress on financial goals to spend time with family, take vacations, and prioritize meaningful experiences,” per Bloomberg.
For example, about a third of survey respondents took on debt to pay for an event. Roughly the same number agreed to a trip, gift, celebration, or other activity they couldn’t really afford.
Closing Thoughts: While Americans are reclassifying the American Dream, they aren’t totally giving up on it. Gen Z, in particular, has gotten into investing much earlier in life than previous generations… mostly because they’ve had to be more intentional about it. That means 401(k)s, prediction markets, Roth IRAs, and crypto are all fair game. Unlike previous generations, something as simple as a pension is basically gone.
But even though Gen Z (and millennials) say retiring comfortably is an important financial goal, only 46% say they believe they’ll reach it. So yeah, maybe go ahead and buy that latte. It’s YOLO all over again.
The Future: Prepare for the focus on enjoyment to influence what kinds of houses Americans make for themselves in the future — humble places that fuel hobbies instead of competition with the Joneses.

Meta’s Muse Can Apparently Save You $1,000
Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang is marketing the new Muse AI agent in a unique way — by highlighting its ability to save users money.
Why It Pays: Muse AI is the first AI agent built for the average customer… and Meta really wants to convince people that truly anyone can use it, especially since large-scale adoption is seen as crucial to justifying the company’s major expenditures on the tech. Telling people it can instantly put money in their pockets is about as good a pitch as you can get.
Behind The Code: Well, if companies are saving millions of dollars with AI, regular people might as well get in on the action, too.
Wang has been posting incessantly on X about how Muse can be prompted to review users’ finances to find ways to save money.
That could mean renegotiating contracts, canceling unused subscriptions, making returns, or haggling with insurance companies over the phone.
Wang prompted people to post how much money they’ve saved using the hashtag #MuseMoneyChallenge. So far, a lot of tech workers — many from Meta — have posted.
Final Prompt: The money pitch seems to be working because Muse AI has skyrocketed to the top of the app charts over the past couple of weeks… and companies don’t really love that. Apparently, many businesses are reporting that their phones and emails are being inundated with people’s Muse agents. Amazon has even blocked Muse from placing orders on its e-commerce site, saying it’s not authorized to do so under its terms of service. But, really, the company might just not want all that traffic from a rival.
Prediction: As AI agents become more capable, don’t be surprised if companies begin designing customer service around bots talking to bots instead of people.

Have you ever used AI to save money?
77.3% of you voted Yes in yesterday’s poll: Have you ever bought something from the Gap?
“I not only bought something from there, I worked there after high school. Upside: I got a great discount. Downside: my fingers would be blue at the end of every shift from the dye on the jeans we had to shove into the denim wall.”
“I was a regular procurer of Gap growing up in the ’90s as a ’90s kid. Consequently, most of the Gap I now have in my closet is vintage Gap from the ’90s/2000s. Some of the new stuff under Reed Krakoff’s tutelage looks good and exciting. I’ll be following the upcoming offerings closely. I’m also pretty partial to GapBody — always has great underthings/pieces.”
“They are a great brand for basics.”
“Gap, no. Its sister company, Old Navy, yes.”
“Was never my style… I lean more towards the avant-garde.”
