Justin Bieber’s Catalog Rules The Streaming Charts

Justin Bieber is the king of streaming this week after a groundbreaking, Coachella-headlining set put him at the center of the cultural conversation.
Why It Hits: Bieber’s superstar week — even by superstar standards — is proof that few stages are as high-profile as a headlining slot at Coachella. But it’s what he did with his set that proves music fans are embracing out-of-the-box storytelling that cuts through the noise.
Behind The Music: This week, everyone seems to be a Belieber.
According to Variety, Bieber hit No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Artist chart, racking up 77 million streams the day after his performance.
A record 21 of his songs entered Spotify’s Global Top 200, including past hits like “Beauty and a Beat” and “Baby.”
The gains were similar on Apple Music — streams across his entire catalog jumped 80% after his set.
His back-to-back 2025 albums, SWAG and SWAG II, also saw listenership rise 80%.
Encore: It’s hard not to have caught wind of the discourse around Bieber’s fascinating Coachella set, which featured a 25-minute portion where he sat down with his laptop and fired up old YouTube videos from throughout his career. He dueted with his teenage self, laughed at viral clips, and scrolled through YouTube like it was 2011 all over again… only this time in front of 130,000 people and for $10 million.
While some called it lazy, creator Samir Chaudry of Colin & Samir pointed out that Bieber is the poster boy for being discovered on YouTube, calling it “an ode to the early days of the internet, the version of the internet that made him, and a reminder of everything we've lost since.” In other words, it was a unique form of nostalgia that spoke directly to the millennials who grew up alongside him and the internet. It was a story only Bieber could really tell.
No wonder fans are playing him on repeat — they’re recapturing their childhoods.
Next Set: Bieber has largely avoided touring over the past four years, but expect him to announce his own version of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour to take the vibe worldwide… as long as his Weekend 2 set makes just as many waves.
