Happy Thursday, Future Party. If you’re an owner of any of Meta’s smartglasses and tried to fiddle with the recording light, there’s some bad news for you — the company just bricked your device, rendering its camera inoperable. After facing global pressure over people using the glasses to secretly record others (Norway called them “pervert glasses”), Meta knew it had no choice but to treat the situation seriously. In case you needed a reminder: yes, the terms of service even apply to wearables.

All I Want For Christmas Is Stocks
Parents are opening joint brokerage accounts with their kids to give them investment knowledge from an early age.
Why It Hits: Day trading, long-term investing, and public markets have sparked the interest of everyday people in recent years, especially as digital platforms have made it easier to get involved. As a generation of millennials approaches middle age without the assets it expected to have, it wants to ensure that its kids don’t suffer the same fate… especially as the economy transforms under their feet.
Behind The Investment: Forget a cash allowance when you can have a stock portfolio, according to Bloomberg.
Firms like Charles Schwab, Acorns Grow, and Greenlight Financial have rolled out teen-focused accounts that require — and promote — parental supervision.
Parents can approve trades, issue debit cards, and set gamified goals or lessons to motivate kids to complete chores in exchange for funds.
The apps also include educational materials that teach kids investment fundamentals — a financial literacy course that turns money into a learning tool.
Closing Balance: The best investing happens by leveraging time, which is why a Schwab survey found that 73% of parents said it was “very important” for teens to learn about it.
But what’s more surprising is that a lot of teens already understand the importance of investing, with that same Schwab survey finding that 59% were “aware” of the practice before turning 13. That’s a huge difference from their parents — only 6% could say the same.
Maybe the kids really are alright.
Next Holiday: With teens reportedly showing a preference for blue-chip company stocks, some Fortune 500 companies may start gearing their marketing toward Gen Alpha.

MrBeast Will Give You A Million Dollars To Read His Book
MrBeast’s new book, released yesterday, is the gateway to a challenge with a $1 million cash prize.
The Big Picture: The experience economy is slowly transforming into the challenge economy — one where active participation becomes crucial to fully enjoying a piece of art or event. MrBeast’s entire ecosystem is based on that idea, so bringing it to his first-ever book seems like a no-brainer in hindsight.
Between The Pages: The Most Dangerous Games, which MrBeast co-wrote with bestselling author James Patterson, is a bit of a game in itself.
Context: MrBeast (a fictionalized version, at least) is one of the book’s main characters, hosting a death-defying challenge with a billion dollars on the line.
Content: The book contains clues and Easter eggs to help people navigate a real-life series of weekly challenges.
Conflict: The pool of contenders will eventually whittle down to 10 finalists who will “come together for a final ‘face the Beast’ round,” per Tubefilter. The champion wins the $1 million prize.
Last Chapter: It shouldn’t come as a surprise that there’s a cynical reason why MrBeast included the challenge in his book — it needs all the help it can get to sell. According to data from Semafor, preorders were only in the four figures. That’s pretty dismal for a book from Patterson and the biggest creator there is (approximately 6% of the world’s population follows MrBeast).
The opportunity to win $1 million for closely reading the book is sure to get a sizable fraction of the creator’s 515 million subscribers to make a purchase — it’s currently #1,878 in new releases across all genres on Amazon.
Hey, according to MrBeast himself, The Most Dangerous Games “might be the first book they actually read.” The jury’s out on whether that’s the vote of confidence he intended it to be.
Prediction: Prepare for The Most Dangerous Games breakdown videos to take over your feed — a bit like a digital search for Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket.

35.5% of you voted No — I’d rather GTA stay a video game in yesterday’s poll: Would you be interested in a film or TV adaptation of Grand Theft Auto, even if you’ve never played the games?
“I’ve worked in video games for 20 years. GTA is special because it’s an outlier and doesn’t chase trends. It doesn’t need a film or TV series. It’s bigger than either of those mediums.”
“I am not a gamer and haven’t played GTA, but I’ve watched other video game film and TV adaptations and enjoyed them. Although, I don’t think it would be as good as Fallout or The Last of Us.”
“Always wanted to see Vice City as a movie.”
“I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.”
“I think it would be extremely interesting, and if done right, it could be a hit!”
