Happy Friday, Future Party. If you happened to score IMAX tickets to Christopher Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster, The Odyssey, consider yourself lucky. When Universal opened the floodgates on IMAX and other PLF tickets, demand was so intense that AMC’s website and Fandango crashed. On the Regal app, screenings sold out within minutes. Nolan is now officially a rockstar, and movie-ticket sites have become Ticketmaster. Wild.

Hasbro Wants You To Toy With Its IP Using AI
Hasbro is launching an in-house AI studio, Sixth Wall, to deploy and control how fans and businesses can use its IP across entertainment, experiences, robotics, and more.
The Big Play: Every major IP holder is racing to figure out how best to protect its franchises in the age of AI. Instead of opening the floodgates or battening down the hatches, Hasbro has opted for a tightly controlled, creative, artist-first solution that could become a blueprint for rights holders across the entertainment and media ecosystem.
Behind The Deal: Hasbro’s Sixth Wall wants to reinvent how people interact with its IP.
The studio built a platform called CharacterOS that governs the personality traits, conversational topics, and vocabulary of its various characters, ensuring everything stays on brand.
All voices come from either the original or newly hired voice actors and are used exclusively for interactive experiences. The voices will also be available for audio-only licensing through a deal with ElevenLabs.
The first characters available for licensing include Mr. Potato Head, Megatron and Optimus Prime from Transformers, Cobra Commander from GI Joe, and the cast of the Clue board game.
Final Level: To start, Hasbro is focusing on working with brands behind products, services, and experiences geared toward fans over the age of 13. According to THR, it’s already in talks with several potential licensees.
Sixth Wall CEO Roberta Thomson said, “As these characters come to life and interact and speak in real time, you have to govern their behavior, which is a different set of technical and brand challenges, and it’s that expertise that we’ve developed.” As long as Sixth Wall’s models can’t be hacked to color outside the lines — as was the case with Darth Vader in Fortnite — Hasbro could have a real growth engine on its hands.
The Future: AI-powered interactive toys could be among Hasbro’s best-selling products this holiday season.

The Mall Comes Online
A new app called The Mall is bringing the browse, compare, and shop experience of a traditional mall to e-commerce… with a personalized twist.
Why It Hits: For all of the internet’s innovations, shopping across brands and products still requires a lot of open tabs and custom-made notes. The Mall’s ability to bring that experience into a unified platform could streamline online retail and help people keep track of a growing number of brands.
Behind The App: The Mall co-founder and COO Ellie Konsker — who previously worked at Tom Ford and Karla Otto — said she wanted to build the Spotify of shopping, per TechCrunch.
Users can curate their own virtual mall, allowing them to follow brands, track sales, and compare prices side by side.
The Mall does this by continuously scraping brand websites to surface up-to-date products and pricing info.
When users flag a product they’re interested in, the app sends push notifications for stock changes and sale alerts.
The app can also surface comparable products at lower prices, making it a potential discovery engine for smaller brands.
When users are ready to buy, The Mall opens the brand’s website within the app so they can complete their purchase.
Final Cart: The Mall says 10,000 brands are already onboarded, and users can add any brands they want by plugging in their Instagram or TikTok handles. Users can also make their malls public, allowing friends to see what they’ve curated.
The Mall, which is currently in invite-only beta, is free for users. The company plans to monetize through ads, sponsored billboards (much like a traditional mall), and an analytics platform that helps brands track clicks, gain user insights, and shape their offerings. The latter gives brands one thing every retailer wants more of: data.
Prediction: Considering The Mall’s public feeds, we could soon see a new type of influencer that retailers will want to target.

Prediction Markets Are On Shaky Legal Ground. SafeBets Isn’t.
While leading prediction markets face legal scrutiny in multiple states, SafeBets operates differently.
That’s because SafeBets users don’t place wagers and never risk losing money. Instead, prize pools are funded through public-market inefficiencies, putting SafeBets in a different legal category than traditional prediction platforms.
A unique platform. Different exposure. The right moment.

When was the last time you visited a shopping mall?
35.8% of you voted No, and I wouldn’t trust it for that purpose in yesterday’s poll: Have you ever asked an AI chatbot a health question?
“I like new things and embrace the future, but I always find it better to let someone else take the early risks. I’d rather be on the leading edge than the bleeding edge.”
“Yes, about health conditions in general, though not necessarily my own. I wouldn’t trust it.”
“An AI helped me diagnose the fatigue condition I’ve had for almost 40 years. No doctor had been able to.”
“I have a very rare type of blood cancer. I’ve asked for help understanding my diagnosis, how to make my body work with my medications and treatments instead of against them, interpreting test results, and a few other things. I always remove sensitive information, but it’s been very helpful in breaking down complicated language into something I can understand.”
“Always question whether prescribed medications are appropriate for your symptoms and any medications you’re currently taking.”
