Happy Thursday, Future Party. A little PSA for all of our puzzlers out there — the creator of Wordle, Josh Wardle, has a new game. It’s called “Parseword,” and it makes cryptic crosswords more accessible to most casual players. Could Wardle have another hit on his hands? If your grandma starts playing it, that should give you a clue…

MSCHF To Make Meat Out Of This Cow

Art collective MSCHF is set to slaughter a cow named Angus tomorrow after the cow’s investors refused to save him.

Why It Hurts: MSCHF has been the king of satire in the art world for years now, poking fun at cultural artifacts, consumerism, and supply chains. Putting Angus’ life in the hands of shareholders encompasses all three themes… and could highlight some fascinating realities about the relationship between capital and compassion.

Behind The Beef: In 2024, MSCHF auctioned off shares in Angus when he was just a calf, with the intention of turning him into 1,200 hamburger patties and four leather handbags that look like a slab of meat unless the investors relinquished their shares to save him.

WSJ has an update on the “Our Cow Angus” venture:

  • Only a third of Angus’ 404 owners have turned in their shares into MSCHF’s online “Remorse Portal,” which has surprised the MSCHF team.

  • Most traders haven’t even flipped theirs, even though the beef shares, which were originally sold for $35, are reselling for hundreds of dollars on StockX. It doesn’t seem people want to part with the collectible tag.

  • Some shareholders have said they’d be willing to relinquish their shares… but only if others join in. The herd mentality hasn’t kicked in yet.

Last Chop: Unsurprisingly, Our Cow Angus has stirred up a lot of controversy, even though Angus was originally earmarked to be processed for beef. MSCHF originally thought of the idea because it costs just as much to care for Angus for the rest of his life (which could’ve been another 20 years) as it does to turn him into burgers and leather. So, the collective was giving its fans a chance to save the cow from its fate.

MSCHF says that watching him grow over the past couple of years has made them attached to Angus… and now none of them have been able to order burgers for lunch.

Prediction: Expect those Angus bags to hit the resale market in one of the weirdest online auctions in recent memory. As for the burgers… that might be a bit harder to flip.

You Can Get Paid To Bully AI

“These humans are mean.” // Illustration by Kate Walker

AI startup Memvid is looking to hire someone who can bully AI chatbots for an entire day.

Why It Hits: We’re firmly in the era of job openings as marketing, whether that’s USA Today hiring a Taylor Swift reporter or Pizza Hut looking for a “Hut Crust Connoisseur.” When anything can be content, it’s hard not to turn any opportunity into something that can go viral.

Between The Punches: Do you have what it takes to be a “Professional AI Bully”?

  • The 8-hour day pays $800 to engage in long conversations with top chatbots, document them forgetting things and hallucinating, and then berate them for their poor memory.

  • The posting says that you have to be 18 or older, have an "extensive personal history of being let down by technology," and have the patience to ask AI agents the same question over and over again, per Insider.

  • They’ll also need to be comfortable being on camera because, of course, this will be used for promotional purposes.

  • The company is only hiring one person right now (which will be decided in the next couple of weeks), but may expand the role as time goes on.

Final Insult: Memvid isn’t just trying to go viral with the hire — the company provides tools for helping solve memory issues in AI models. Memvid co-founder and CEO Mohamed Omar told Insider that "a lot of people who are applying for this are knowledge workers who are using these products." So, that goes to show that even the biggest AI users are still frustrated by the tech’s limitations.

Next Round: In a job market that increasingly feels like a lottery, stunt job postings may soon be the hottest thing on LinkedIn.
