Happy Tuesday, Future Party. Here’s a little motivation to persevere today — Brit Karl Bushby finished a 28-year journey walking across four continents. He traversed a total of 31,000 miles across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. When all was said and done, he arrived at his mom’s house in Hull, England. It’s a truly incredible feat… but also a low-key reminder that, no matter how busy you get, everyone knows you’re in big trouble if you don’t visit your mom.

Lionsgate Is Making The Hunger Games Immersive With Meta
Lionsgate is partnering with Meta to bring 3D capabilities to its latest Hunger Games movie.
The Big Picture: Hollywood studios have increasingly signed deals with cutting-edge tech firms over the past year to supercharge the tools they offer filmmakers and give audiences new ways to experience their movies and shows. By joining forces with Meta, Lionsgate hopes to better compete with new distribution offerings from Apple and Disney.
Behind The Lenses: The lines between Hollywood and Silicon Valley continue to blur.
When Sunrise on the Reaping comes out this Thanksgiving, its 3D screenings will be courtesy of Meta — the first time the company has been hired to oversee a 3D conversion.
After the movie’s theatrical run, it will also be available to stream in 3D on the Meta VR Glasses.
Lionsgate plans to make more movies available on the Meta VR Glasses, with chosen titles to be announced soon.
Final Conversion: While a film-focused partnership with Meta may feel a bit random, there’s actually a key director at the center of the Venn diagram — James Cameron. The legendary filmmaker’s Lightstorm Media partnered with Meta two years ago to consult on its immersive ambitions. Cameron himself has been working with Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth on 3D features.
Considering Cameron is pretty much the pioneer of modern 3D filmmaking, seeing the new Hunger Games on Meta VR Glasses may be a mind-blowing at-home experience.
Coming Soon: If Meta’s Lionsgate partnership is a success, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the company get back into producing original content.

Your Next Chapter Could Start In Lisbon
Be honest. You’ve thought about it.
Maybe it was the $9 latte. Maybe it was a two-week vacation that ended way too soon. Somewhere along the way, “what if we just moved abroad?” stopped being a joke.
Move Abroad Week turns that daydream into a real plan. From November 10 to 15, Expatsi is going live with 38 online sessions led by immigration attorneys, tax pros, and relocation experts who move people around the world for a living.
You’ll find out:
Where you can actually go, from beach towns in Costa Rica to cafés in Paris
Which visa fits how you make money
How to handle the real stuff, like taxes, healthcare, and flying your dog first class
Every session ends with a live Q&A, so bring your boldest questions.
It used to cost $350. This year? Just $49. Cheaper than your last DoorDash order.
UNIQLO Gets Literary
Multi-hyphenate artist Cate Blanchett is overseeing a new literary magazine funded and published by UNIQLO.
Why It Hits: Fashion-funded literary magazines have been around for decades… but few have been spawned by a modern fast-fashion retailer. UNIQLO, however, has been carving a unique path in the retail game, combining high-style thinking with low-cost accessibility. No wonder the company has money to pour into niche creative outlets.
Between The Pages: UNIQLO is making a cultural investment.
Literary magazine Stories She Tells is being overseen by Cate Blanchett, launched by the University of Tokyo, and backed by UNIQLO.
It’ll feature a collection of essays by women, curated through open submissions.
Chosen writers will receive financial support and mentorship.
Last Looks: According to Highsnobiety, this is technically UNIQLO’s second print venture. The company also backs a semiannual fashion publication called LifeWear magazine, edited by Takahiro Kinoshita — the former editor-in-chief of the famous Japanese menswear magazine Popeye.
Given the growing popularity of Japanese style throughout the West, Stories She Tells could sit at the intersection of interests for many different types of artists.
Prediction: A cool magazine may be the best kind of marketing for a generation growing increasingly obsessed with all things analog… even if your product has nothing to do with the literary arts.

“I can read much faster than any literary reader and don’t have to endure introductions or questions while waiting for the event to start and end.”
“If you count toddler time at the library!!”
“Not really a library, but one of my favorites was while I was in art school. One of my favorite professors was old friends with Allen Ginsberg, and he was brought in for a reading. I also love a good literary lecture. It’s a bookworm thing.”
“Literary Death Match was one of my favorite nights out. I discovered Atticus Lish and other great authors by going to those events.”
