Here’s some inspiration for you, Future Party. Back when Michael Jordan (the GOAT) was playing for the Chicago Bulls, he had a very unique clause in his contract — the “love of the game” clause. It stipulated that if Jordan wanted to play a pick-up game at the park or school some high-school kids at the gym, he was allowed to do that… and if he got hurt doing it and had to be benched, his contract would still get paid out. Why was this in his contract? He didn’t want the job of basketball getting in the way of him playing basketball. That’s how you stay passionate.

Kevin Hart Sells Himself To Authentic Brands
Actor, producer, and entrepreneur Kevin Hart has sold the IP licensing rights to his name to Authentic Brands Group.
The Big Picture: These days, few things are quite as lucrative as name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals — but they’ve usually been reserved for pro athletes. By inking an agreement with Hart, Authentic Brands may be providing a blueprint for how entertainment superstars can further monetize their global star power… so long as they’re cool with seeing their face on everything.
The Fine Print: Reebok, Sports Illustrated, Juicy Couture… Kevin Hart?
Under the deal, ABG will acquire the rights to Kevin’s name, which will be co-managed by both the company and Hart himself.
In exchange, Hart will become a shareholder in ABG, which brought in $32 billion in retail sales last year.
The Kevin Hart brand will expand across consumer products, digital platforms, and live experiences.
Final Deal: ABG already has deals with former sports stars like Shaquille O’Neal and David Beckham, as well as the estates of Marilyn Monroe and Muhammad Ali, but Hart represents something new — a licensing deal with someone still in the prime of their career. While Hart could theoretically expand his image solely through his own company, HartBeat, it appears he’s chosen to lean on ABG’s footprint to turn his name into a bona fide brand… without having to foot the bill.
The Future: Hart Hotels? Hart Automotive? Hart Headwear? It could all happen.

Are You Tracking Your Pee?
New devices are finding a home in toilet bowls, where they track the health of your pee.
The Big Splash: Tracking our every metric has become commonplace, with Oura Rings, Apple Watches, and Fitbits now monitoring our caloric intake and activity levels. But one of the best ways to analyze how our bodies are doing is to take a closer look at what comes out of them.
Behind The Stall: It’s time to optimize your bathroom break, according to Wired.
Vivoo debuted a smart sensor at CES yesterday that clips to the inside of a toilet bowl. Connected to a mobile app, the device measures your “pee’s specific gravity” to analyze your hydration (apparently, visually checking color isn’t good enough).
Withings rolled out two U-Scan devices — the Nutrio (which checks ketone levels, hydration, and urine acidity) and Calci (which checks for calcium content, a potential sign of developing kidney stones).
Kohler released a potty camera (it checks more than just your pee) called the Dekoda, which leverages AI to analyze your waste and give users a breakdown of their gut health.
Last Drip: As strange as these devices may be, analyzing pee is already a routine way doctors assess patients’ health — you can now just do it yourself and then send late-night panic messages to your doctor when something’s off.
But privacy is about to get more complicated than simply closing the bathroom door when family and friends are over. The Dekoa is supposed to be end-to-end encrypted, but that’s turned out to be a bit of a pipe dream. So, yeah, some rear ends are already floating around in the digital ether.
Next Bathroom Break: Your stool samples are about to become the next hottest commodity in Silicon Valley.
