Happy Thursday, Future Party. It turns out there is something Polymarket won’t let people bet on — nuclear detonation. After a bet on the likelihood of a nuclear war occurring this year reached one million dollars in trading volume, the prediction market pulled the plug. Probably for the best — not everything is meant for prediction markets.

DAILY TOP TRENDS

Anyone Can Now Host A Talk Show… About Anything

A new crop of talent is turning to social media to launch talk shows that run the gamut from niche (insider Hollywood business) to very niche (the freight industry).

The Big Picture: The viewership of mainstream network TV talk shows has dropped by more than half in just 15 years, and they no longer command the cultural influence they once did. Maybe the way forward for the format is to go much, much smaller.

Behind The Broadcasts: Every topic may soon have its own talk show.

  • TBPN, the three-hour daily show hosted by Jordi Hays and John Coogan, is entirely focused on the insider-baseball aspects of Silicon Valley. Mark Zuckerberg, Mark Cuban, and Sam Altman have been recent guests.

  • Former sports talk personality Malcolm Harris launched What The Truck?!? — a show about the trucking and shipping industry that livestreams three times a week.

  • Car Dealership Guy, hosted by Yossi J. Levi, is entirely focused on… you guessed it… car dealerships and the broader automotive market.

  • Warner Bailey, known for his Assistants vs. Agents meme page and newsletter, is launching a weekly morning show about the entertainment business.

  • Breaking and Entering duo Geno Schellenberger and Jack Westerkamp are expanding their Instagram page and podcast into a three-times-a-week talk show focused on Madison Avenue.

Sign Off: These shows are taking full advantage of the creator economy, broadcasting on platforms like YouTube or X where hosts can respond to fans on-air, posting episodes as video podcasts, and then slicing them into clips. While these aren’t entirely new concepts, the popularity of niche topics suggests you can still win by serving a small audience.

It’s the era of cultural fragmentation, personalized algorithmic discovery, and hyper-engaged stans. In other words, the perfect conditions for a show geared toward car dealership owners to go viral.

Next Transmission: Executives across industries may soon have their own version of the press tour.

The CRM For Founders Who Hate CRMs

Founders shouldn’t moonlight as data-entry clerks.

Yet most CRMs are needy, demanding constant updates, manual notes, and endless follow-ups that drain time and distract from actual work.

The solution? Lightfield, the AI-native CRM that runs in the background so you can stay in the foreground — selling, hiring, and building your business.

In sum, Lightfield automates everything on your behalf:

  • Auto-captures every call, meeting, and communication

  • Builds itself from your calendar and email for full context

  • Reminds you of next steps to keep momentum

Nike Builds A Pop-Up Soccer Field

Courtesy of Nike

Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) brand has created a soccer stadium that sets up as easily as pitching a tent and fits in the back of a van.

Why It Scores: Building anything takes complicated paperwork, cutting through red tape, and manpower. Nike’s new invention aims to give people the opportunity not just to play a pick-up game whenever they want, but also the infrastructure to turn it into an event.

Between The Goals: The “All Conditions Cup System” was made by ACG and the creative agency Amsterdam Berlin.

  • It’s made up of 1,677 ultra-lightweight aluminum components that snap together to form two goals, neon-strap field lines, 80 chairs, seven lights, and even whistles.

  • Staying true to the all-conditions name, the pieces are designed for different climates and terrain so they can be “installed on sand, snow, rocky ground, or other difficult surfaces,” per Amsterdam Berlin founder and creative director Moritz Grub.

  • All the pieces can be stored in weather-resistant ripstop bags and carried on foot, on a sled, or in the back of a van, per Fast Company.

  • The system was designed to be “low-to-no impact,” so it doesn’t leave any physical traces when removed… other than cleat markings from the players.

Last Kick: While ACG and Amsterdam Berlin don’t yet have plans to commercialize the product (it was built to promote a new apparel collection for Italian soccer club Inter Milan on a snowy mountainside), Nike has been on a tear, releasing cutting-edge products. That includes a mind-altering sneaker, inflatable jackets for Team USA, and a robotic running shoe. It’s part of Nike CEO Elliott Hill’s push to win back the sports-performance market.

To do that, store shelves are going to need all the R&D they can get.

Next Game: Nike has the chance to do the coolest thing and create makeshift soccer fields across the developing world to promote the sport and build community. Presumably an exec there has already thought of this (if not, you’re welcome).

73.5% of you voted Within the past year in yesterday’s poll: When was your last physical exam with a doctor?

“I visit the doctor once a year whether I need to or not.”

“I have an annual wellness physical and mental exam, usually in December. This includes bloodwork that seems to cover everything. I’ve been doing this for years — probably 35 or more.”

“My primary care physician passed away, and it’s been difficult finding a new one I trust. AI is filling the void and providing better information than a doctor. Services like Function Health, which include a clinical review, seem like the future.”
