Happy Tuesday, Future Party. If you live in NYC, here’s an ongoing film series worth showing up for: Steven Soderbergh’s “63 Days of Steven’s Selects.” In collaboration with Singani 63 and Nitehawk Cinema, Soderbergh is curating a weekly films-and-cocktails series, with each screening drawn from the filmmaker’s handpicked favorites of the decade. Themed drinks come courtesy of a rotating lineup of some of the city’s best bars. Not a bad way to spend nine Wednesday nights — especially if you’re already missing those Sundance vibes.
Correction: In our recent story about weather influencers, we noted that Max Velocity, Reed Timmer, and Ryan Hall all held meteorology degrees. Ryan Hall does not — he did not complete the program at Mississippi State University. C’mon, Hall — finish those remaining credits so we can correct this correction.

The Hottest New Nikes Are Only At… Costco
An unexpected pair of Nike sneakers quietly dropped at Costcos nationwide… and is already lighting up the internet and resale markets.
Why It Hits: Nike’s partnership with Costco never seemed like it was actually going to happen. Then, over the weekend, limited-edition pairs of Costco-branded SB Dunk Lows started popping up at the wholesale retailer and quickly got sneakerheads excited… proving that the next era of sneaker collecting may be all about unexpected partnerships and under-the-radar drops.
Behind The Box: Nike’s new sneakers are both out of the box and big box.
The $135 SB Dunks were spotted by various sneaker influencers, including RaffyCollects, DNA Show, and Jacques Slade.
They’re decked out in Costco Easter eggs, including the Kirkland Signature logo on the heel, a shopping label tongue tag, an ad for Costco’s popular hot dog on the underside of the insole, and a removable tag that looks like the Executive Membership card.
So far, it’s only available at stores in New York, Oregon, California, and Washington… but more could be out in the wild.
Final Receipt: While the sneakers are naturally only available at Costco, they’re already popping up on resale sites like StockX, eBay, and GOAT for up to $5,000. It’s a testament to the kind of loyalty — not the kind you pay for — Costco has built, with people seemingly willing to splurge to show off their devotion to something fresher than a Costco rotisserie chicken. It also reinforces that grocery stores are the coolest places in town now, whether it’s buying a tote at Trader Joe’s or a hat from Erewhon.
It’s style that reps what’s in your fridge.
Next Membership: We wouldn’t be surprised if grocery-branded clothing and accessories start unlocking special discounts for wearers. Nike sneakers as a Costco loyalty card would be pretty awesome.

AI Gets Into The F1 Driver Seat
With Anthropic now joining forces with Atlassian Williams, it seems both big tech firms with AI ambitions and ambitious AI startups are partnering with F1 teams to supercharge their technology and operations.
The Fast Lane: There’s nothing quite as buzzy these days as a deal with a major sports league, team, or star, with the money exchanged for rights or NIL deals reaching unprecedented heights. F1 is one of the most technologically advanced sports there is, making it especially ripe for AI disruption.
Behind The Wheel: Are you an AI company now if you don’t have an F1 partnership?
Anthropic has become the “official thinking partner” of the Atlassian Williams team, which will see Claude support race strategy, car development, and new product builds.
Google has a long-running partnership with McLaren’s team and announced last November that it would start embedding Gemini into the team’s operations.
IBM inked a deal with Ferrari’s team to redesign its app and provide fans with a new digital experience powered by Watson.
Microsoft is collaborating with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team to bring AI into race analysis and performance analytics, both at the factory and the track.
Perplexity took a different approach by striking an NIL deal with arguably the sport’s most famous driver, Lewis Hamilton.
Last Lap: By bringing GPUs to the grid, these companies hope to accelerate AI adoption worldwide, with Claude, Gemini, and other chatbots becoming visible everywhere from Monaco to Mexico. And with F1 a sport defined by technological precision, innovation, and speed, these companies gain a high-stakes stage to showcase what their systems are capable of. All eyes will be on whether any one of them can help push a team to victory.
Next Race: It’s possible that each F1 car could one day have its own driver-specific chatbot, measuring and communicating what’s happening to the vehicle in real time — a Jarvis for race cars.

67.6% of you voted I didn’t follow at all. in yesterday’s poll: How closely did you follow this year’s Grammy Awards?
“I really don’t care for most of the artists being celebrated at the Grammys. The current crop of pop superstars is, for the most part, lacking in musical talent and trying to make up for it with gaudy showmanship and gratuitous sexuality. Not worth my time.”
“No need to hear what they think is relevant in the world when they wear rose-colored glasses with an agenda.”
“I scrolled through the fashion highlights and judged the dresses based on whether I would wear them. I didn’t pay attention to who won.”
“There isn’t a ‘most of it except when I wanted to check other shows or cook food’ option.”
